A multi-national property developer specialising in the development of residential communities, commercial properties, hotels and resorts is seeking a Projects Director to join their team in Kabul City, Afghanistan.
As Projects Director you will be responsible for project management (execution) and supervision of multiple mixed-use towers (G+20-G+40). You will lead and manage multiple teams of project managers and engineers. You will prepare strategic project management plans and establish project management processes and procedures. You will manage the consultants, resource planning, risk assessment and value engineering while providing strong leadership to the project team. You will develop and implement a strategic plan which relates to the company’s core objectives ensuring that the company’s vision and mission are both in line with the organizational requirements. You will identify and promote revenue and profitability sources while managing the cost effectiveness of resources. You will restructure the projects in the best possible manner leading to an increased efficiency level while preparing the business plan, budget and the projected expenditure. You will ensure the smooth project coordination from inception to hand-over and build and develop good working relationships with key stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with over 10 years post graduate experience with leading consultancy firms. Proven experience in managing and executing multiple high rise towers/development is essential and candidates with experience in Afghanistan are preferred. You will have excellent communication skills and be a resolution focused professional. You will be a strong decision maker who thrives under pressure and is results driven to achieve specified key performance indicators (KPI’s) as per the Company’s objectives. Fluency in English is essential both written and spoken. Relocation to Afghanistan is a must.
