Our client is a multinational organization with a well established branch in the UAE. They seek an experienced R&D Formulation Chemist/Engineer to work closely together with Marketing and Sales in order to identify opportunities for new projects and products. You will formulate new products (especially for concrete admixtures) according defined specifications and market/customer needs.
Duties include:
• Local/regional R&D Concrete business line
• Implementing and improving safety in the chemical and concrete
lab
• Preparing formulations in the chemical lab including physical-
chemical testing (stability, viscosity…)
• Testing formulations in mortar and concrete
• Communicating active and discuss results with Tech Service
• Assist in creating documents on new products (technical data
sheet, safety data sheet)
• Preparing weekly reports and participating in regional R&D calls
• Assisting the tech service and sales, implementing new products
in the market
Qualifications & Experience:
• M.S. (PhD) in a chemically related field or equivalent
experience/or Civil Engineer with formulation experience in
concrete admixtures
• Experience in concrete and mortar technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
language
• Team work capabilities, active communicator
• Familiar with all Microsoft Office applications
• SAP experience beneficial but not essential
Salary for this position will be approx. 21,000 AED (basic & housing), health cover, and 1 return flight per year.
